The official language of the Symposium is English.
Registration Desk Opening Hours
All documents including the registration package (symposium bag, name badge, invitations) will be handed out to the registered participants from the Registration Desk that will be open at the Symposium Venue place (THE GREEN PARK HOTEL MERTER) during the following schedule:

Visas
Certain countries wishing to obtain a visa to enter Turkey require an official invitation letter from symposium organization. Official letter of invitation to the Fifth International Symposium on Computational Methods in Toxicology and Pharmacology Integrating Internet Resources (CMTPI 2009) will be sent by Symposium Secretariat on request.
Access to Istanbul from Overseas
The International Ataturk Airport in Istanbul is readily accessible from all parts of the world, served more than 50 airlines and there are many direct and non-stop flights from all major cities of the world.
Currency & Exchange
You can exchange your currency into the New Turkish Lira (YTL) either at the exchange office of airport or at the hotel. Hotel buying-rate is generally lower than the market rate, therefore it is not recommended. Please also keep in mind that US$ or Euro currencies are accepted generally by taxis, restaurants and shopping centers in Istanbul.
Electrical Current
The electricity supply in Turkey is 220 volts AC 50 cycles. Electrical appliances must have European plugs, (i.e. round-tipped, two-pinned) and an international adapter is very useful.

Safety
Turkish citizens and foreign visitors alike are required to carry some form of identification at all times such as a passport or driving license. You may be asked to show ID before entering some restaurants/bars.
In Istanbul, like any other cosmopolitan city, be careful of pickpockets in train stations, around money exchange offices, at open markets and stores. You should always be alert and take sensible precautions towards theft.
Taxi
You can find the yellow taxis everywhere in Istanbul, Turkey. Transportation by taxi is cheap in Istanbul. You should look for the prices to the taximeter.
